"Energy of knowledge" at National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute"

Association on development of international research and projects in the field of energy "Global Energy" and National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" present a video broadcast of the Global Energy experts’ lectures​.

On June 6, 2018 members of the International Committee for the Global Energy Prize award, Rae Kwon Chung, Stephen Griffiths and Thomas Bliss will deliver lectures on topical issues of the world energy sector at the National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute". Their presentations will be held within the framework of the "Energy of Knowledge" program of the Association "Global Energy". Broadcast will start at 10:15 (Moscow time).

The "Energy of Knowledge" presentations at MPEI will be devoted to the search for optimal solutions in the ways of decarbonization and digitalization of the global energy system.

Professor Rae Kwon Chung (South Korea), advisor to the Chairman of the Group of leaders and high-level experts on water and natural disasters under the UN Secretary General, will present an econometric simulation of the process of deep decarbonization.

The increasing role of digital elements in the energy sector and the impact of the 4th industrial revolution on the energy sector will be described by Stephen Griffiths (UAE), the Senior Vice President of Research and Development in Khalifa University of Science and Technology.  Discussion of the influence of "smart cities", artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics and technologies of augmented reality on the energy system of the future is in the agenda of the speech.

Thomas Bliss (USA), President of the Scientific Council for Global Initiatives (SCGI), an international consultant in the field of energy systems, will share his expert opinion on promising nuclear technologies that he believes will dominate the energy sector in the next decades.
