The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar visited MPEI

On the 27th of January, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar At Ting Yu visited MPEI. He was a special guest on defense of a thesis of MPEI doctoral candidate from Myanmar Jlaing Min At on a topic: "Creation of information and methodological support for system design of the reformative electronic, transformer and electronic and generating machine and electronic systems of electrotechnical complexes of autonomous objects".

Within the visit a meeting with MPEI Rector Mr. Rogalev Nikolay took place. On the part of International Administration there was Head of International Administration Sergey Shirinskii.

During the meeting with MPEI Rector there were discussed several issues like:

• new students screening for training in the Russian Universities;
• the choice of directions of the highest priority for the country for training skilled specialists;
• the organization of association of alumni of the Russian Universities in Myanmar.

The program of Myanmar students training in MPEI has been practiced since 2001. During this time there were prepared 387 masters and 31 persons have defended their master's theses.
