MPEI students were trained in Dresden University of Technology, Germany

In 2016 Stryukov Evgeny (ITAE student) and Gromilin Ilya (ENMI student) won Georgius-Agricola-Stipendium for training in Dresden University of Technology. Since the 1st of October, 2016 to the 28th of February, 2017 boys have been trained in Germany. Here is what was told by Evgeny Stryukov on his return to MPEI:

"We gained the scholarship of 450 euro, and this sum of money was enough to pay for accommodation in the hostel and the insurance. It also covered a part of the expenses concerning food and entertainments.

I was trained according to the ACCESS Master program (Advanced Computational and Civil Engineering Structural Studies), it was an international program, and the training was performed in English. There were students from every corner of the world. Free quality education was the main reason that attracted all these people.

There were sixty five people in my training group, but it didn't interfere with the educational process. During all tutoring sessions (both workshops, and lectures) we had our studies in spacious separate lecture halls, and during the laboratory researches, we were split into subgroups.

Training of students at Dresden University was focused not only on creation of a strong theoretical base, but also on the ability to use it because "everybody can use commercial off-the-shelf, and we have to be able to cope without them".

Being in Germany, I visited many cultural and historical places, I learned culture of this country, and met many interesting people; I have got the experience of life in another country. The most important fact is that I attended all studies where I got special experience and learned a lot of new thing about my specialty.

I hope for further cooperation between MPEI and Dresden University of Technology since it is a magnificent opportunity to take part in cultural exchange and to learn from each other various scientific achievements".
