MPEI became a part of the QS rating "Engineering - Electrical & Electronic"

International Administration informs that National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" became one of 9 best Russian universities, ranked 351-400 by results of QS inventory rating 2017 in the topical area "Electrical & Electronic Engineering".

Moreover, upon the indicator "academic reputation" MPEI ranked 3rd among the Russian Universities in this topical area and 109th among all Universities of the world. Upon the indicator “reputation by employers”, MPEI ranked 8th among the Russian Universities and 227th in the overall ranking.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is a British company focusing on service industry in development of career and choice of educational path, for many years it performs the annual ratings of the best universities of the world.

The research made by analysts from QS Quacquarelli Symonds company estimates universities from 74 countries in 46 topical areas. The rating considers the reputation of the University in the academic environment and among employers, a ratio between numbers of students and number of professors, publication activities of employees, the number of foreign students and employees. Besides the traditional criteria used by making QS ratings a share of employees with the science degree and efficiency of Internet resources were additionally considered.

The QS ratings are admitted to be one of the most influential in the world along with Academic Ranking of World Universities and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.​
