National Research U "MPEI" took part in anniversary celebrations of Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU)

​MPEI took part in anniversary celebrations of Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) that took place in Qingdao, China since 23.05.2016 to 27.05.2016. ASRTU is a non-commercial organization including the leading technical Universities of two countries. It was founded on the 06.03.2011 to achieve the following purposes: joining efforts of the elite technical Universities of Russia and China to train highly-qualified personnel for innovative economics, assistance to the academic students and professors’ exchange, deepening of sci-tech cooperation between Russia and China. At the moment ASRTU unites 22 member Universities + 3 Universities observers from the Russian Federation side and 21 member Universities + 4 Universities observers from the Chinese side. The ASRTU headquarters are placed in Qingdao. The MPEI became the ASRTU full-fledged member in May, 2015.

At the anniversary events the National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" was represented by MPEI Vice Rector on class assignment Vyacheslav Grechikhin and ASRTU - MPEI coordinator Irina Kulik (International Administration).

Within the anniversary celebrations there took place a retrospective exhibition devoted to ASRTU quinquennium, the Aoshan Euroasian scientific and technical forum and the Third regular summit of ASRTU. The events hit the headlines.
