Rector of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov visited MPEI

In June Dr. Professor Murataly Jamanbaev – Rector of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov, paid a business visit to Moscow in purpose of attending the session of the CIS Network University Coordination Council.

​​​​​​On the 6th of June Dr. Jamanbaev met Rector of MPEI Nikolay Rogalev and students of KSTU who are currently studying at MPEI.

The collaboration between MPEI and KSTU has started in 2006, after the signing of the agreement on the first mutual educational program MPEI-KSTU. In its framework two Bachelor programs in the fields of Electric Power Engineering and Informatics and Computer Engineering were opened. Later this joint educational program has become the basis for broadening the collaboration between technical universities headed by MPEI and KSTU. National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” and Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov, rectors are as well the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities Administration Board Chairmen.

In 2017 MPEI obtained membership in the Network University of CIS. On behalf of the Kyrgyzstan side one of the partners of MPEI in the union is KSTU. This year the session of the CIS Network University Coordination Council was hosted by RUDN. There, a new agreement has been signed. Its main goal was realization of joint Master programs in the fields of "Thermal Power Engineering and Thermal Engineering" – the Thermal Electric Stations specialty and "Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering" – Project Management in Electrical Power Engineering specialty.

MPEI International Administration expresses its hope for further mutual cooperation with KSTU in the spheres of science and education.
