MPEI staff was awarded honorary titles of Ministry of Higher education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic

In December 2018 the Ministry of Higher education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic presented a list of researchers that were awarded honorary titles. There were 400 researchers and 4 award categories. The title of "Titular Honorario Investigador" was given to leading professors of the Department of Heat and Mass Transfer Processes and Installations, Andrey Garyaev and Natalia Savchenkova. Inna Samson was given "Titular Investigador" title. Those two titles have the highest rank in the Dominican Republic.

Collection of researchers

MPEI and Technology University (based in Santo Domingo) have been partners for a long time. They have a mutual project in the domain of Thermal Engineering, the creation of a solar adsorption refrigeration unit for ice production.

The honorary title certificates were solemnly given to Natalia Savchenkova during her visit to INTEC in January, 2019.

During the business trip the development of a mutual scientific project was being continued in the framework of the SODOFI conference dedicated to the problems of Steady Power Engineering.

The excursion to the Thermal Power Plant for 800 MW was held, as well as the discussion on the issues of collaboration in the educational domain between MPEI, INTEC and MESCYT.​
