MPEI delegation paid a visit to Myanmar Embassy13.02.2019On the 31st of January 2019 the delegation of MPEI headed by Rector Nikolay Rogalev visited the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Myanmar Independence. Back to history pages, the first agreement for target training of specialists from Myanmar was signed in 2001 with the Ministry of Science and Technology. Since that time MPEI has annually been receiving specialists to study on Master Program on the most demanded specialties. A year-long study of Russian on the Preparatory course precedes the enrollment to the Master Course of MPEI. A number of postgraduates receive admission to the Ph.D. course since 2005, In the past years around 400 Masters and 30 Ph.D. students from Myanmar have graduated from MPEI, and in 2017 the first thesis for Doctor of Science from Myanmar, Hlaing Min Oo, has been successfully defended.
