MPEI has got 4 stars in the Rating system "QS Stars"

Complex analysis concerning the activity of the Universities QS Stars permits to reveal the best successful Universities around the world.

The peculiarity of the research is not only to give the Universities the position in the rating, but also the number of stars from 0 to 5+. The evaluation is made by independent auditors and embraces the set of criteria that are not recognized by the traditional ratings, but crucial for potential applicants as they help to understand if the chosen university suits their expectations, is it comfortable to study there, and how the education will affect their career.

Audit QS Stars evaluates 50 different indicators in 8 categories. Based on the score in every category the final value is given. Maximum score is taken from the best universities in the world.


O​nly 10 Universities worldwide are given the “5+” QS Stars assessment.

According to the results of the survey conducted in 2018 of the international QS Stars audit MPEI was awarded the honorable 4-star rank, achieving 5 stars in Teaching, Employability, Innovation, Facilities and 4 stars in the Inclusiveness.

From more than 100 Russian Universities only 9, including MPEI, have a current QS Stars rank of 4 or more.​​​
