Visit of the People’s Republic of China delegation to MPEI

On the 28th of March, 2019, MPEI hosted the visit from China. The delegation comprised Zeng Jiancheng, deputy head of the Secretary Office of the State Center for Education and Development of the Rural Sector, and Lien Yongxiang, Chairman of the Board of the "Talent and Education" scientific-technical company.

The meeting based on initiative of the Alexander Doroshin, Director of MPEI Substructure Department of the CIS International Scientific and Educational Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, took place in the framework of the "Career guidance office for foreign and Russian applicants". Its primary objective is raising the intensity of the foreign students’ stream towards Russia.

Sergey Shirinskii, Head of International Admininstration, started the event with a speech, followed by the presentation of International Activity of MPEI by Elena Gulicheva, Head of Department of International Relations and the discussion on the foreigners’ education at MPEI led by Alexander Ankin, the Dean of the Foreign students.


Later, China delegates met Vladimir Tulskiy, Head of IEPE, and visited the study platforms of Institute of Hydropower Engineering and Renewable Sources of Energy and Department of High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Physics.

China representative, Zeng Jiancheng, deputy head of the Secretary Office of the State Center for Education and Development in Rural sector, emphasized that in China there is a huge demand for the Russian education so he expects fruitful mutual collaboration to come.

The Head of CIS International Scientific and Educational Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Alexander Doroshin underlined the importance of the organized meeting and offered his comprehensive support for the project.

The sides agreed to cooperate and assist each other in the domains of students’ mobility between Russia and China.

The "Open selection" organization is the respective agreement operator in Russia, rightholder of the "Electronic Career office" patented technology for the foreign students’ selection.

Anastasia Preobrazhenskaya, the developer of the "Electronic Career office", claimed that for a successful realization of the project that is mutually concerning the Administration of the State Center for of the Education and Development of the Rural sector and Moscow Regional Department of the "Committee of Presidential Support for Reforms" all the preparatory work is done.

In order to increase the efficiency of the project a special Consortium of Organizations and the Governing Board were created, with bilateral Russian-Chinese representation.

MPEI and the project operator are planning to sign the further collaboration agreement.​​​
