International scientific conference "Tendencies of development of contemporary semiconductor physics: problems, achievements and prospects"

28 May, 2020, International scientific conference "Tendencies of development of contemporary semiconductor physics: problems, achievements and prospects" was held in a remote format. The Branch of MPEI in Tashkent was one of the organizers.

Before the start of the conference, Rector of MPEI Nikolay Rogalev came with a foreword and underlined the actuality of the course of semiconductors development.

The conference tends to have an important strategic status, unifying science, education and industry. The four sections of the conference were represented by the reports of scientists from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus etc.


Master course students of the department of Industrial Electronics of IREE of MPEI took their part in the Conference:

Ludmila Serebryakova, 1st year Master student of MPEI, published the theses of reports in section 1 - "Actual Physics problems seen by young scientists" – on the important research concerning the raising of bandwidth of overhead electric lines: "Matlab-model of a small-sized device for lengthwise compensation, built on the basis of an adjustable transformer" by co-authority of the report Ivan Zhuravlev, PhD students of department of Industrial Electronics .

Dmitry Mostovoy, 2nd year Master student of MPEI, published the theses of reports in section 3 - "Materials, technologies and components of semiconductor opto-, nano- and microelectronics" – on the research in the actual field of quality raising of the electric power for remote consumption:" Study of devices to improve the quality of power supply in 0.38 kV distribution networks in rural areas and the private sector".

MPEI Branch in Tashkent was founded in 2018. In October the ceremony of the three-side agreement was held among MPEI, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Vocational Education of the Uzbek Republic and Stock Company "Uzbekenergo" on preparatory stage of creation of an MPEI Branch in Tashkent. On the 4th of June, 2019, the President of the Russian Federation signed a statute on creation of the branch of National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" in Tashkent. Currently there are Bachelor programs in the Branch: 13.03.01 "Thermal Power Engineering and Heat Engineering" and 13.03.02 "Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering". ​
