MPEI at Youth Forum "Russia-Africa: Nuclear Education for Sustainable Development"

24 November, 2020, on the base of RUDN and University of Rwanda the International Youth Forum "Russia-Africa: Nuclear Education for Sustainable Development" was held in the videoconference format.

The event was dedicated to the search for new forms of cooperation in the field of sustainable development for African countries through progress of Nuclear education that can allow the youth potential to be realized in the high-tech fields of science and technology. It was organized to develop the decisions of International Forum "Russia-Africa - Science - Education - Cooperation", that was held 25 October, 2019, on the ground of Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi.

MPEI representatives actively participated in the Forum.
 

Elena Gulicheva, Head of the Department of International Relations of MPEI, shared the experience gained at MPEI of training foreign specialists in Nuclear Power Engineering with the colleagues and young scientists from other universities.

Foreign postgraduates of MPEI made reports in the framework of the thematic session "Power Engineering". Abd Elrahim Amin Kamal Eldin Ahmed, citizen of Sudan, presented the topic "Model and algorithm of evaluation of the Energy Microsystem", and Sultan Hamdi Metwally Sayed, citizen of Egypt, spoke about the theme "Impact of the share of electricity generation from solar installations on the Egyptian power system".
