The project was presented in the framework of the lecture course "Intellectual Systems of Renewable Energy Sources” led by Anton Kirukhin, Ph.D., associate professor of the "Hydropower and Renewable Energy Sources".

The presentation of the project was given by two German partners Kraftwerk and Eclarion along with students and teachers of the IHRES. These two companies carry out projects in the field of Renewable energy sources in all the world and particularly in Russia.

The goal of the project is to transmit the experience of German engineers’ using of RES together with the common electric power engineering network, to Russian power engineering specialists.

In accordance with the law of December 27, 2019 N471-FL "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Electricity" in terms of the development of microgeneration" in Russia, individuals have the opportunity to connect renewable energy sources, in particular, photovoltaic stations to the power grid. This will allow individuals to provide not only their electricity needs, but also become participants in the energy market, selling surplus energy generated by their own RES.

Within the framework of the current project, a series of seminars is set for employees of electric power companies that generate electric power, or network operators, electrical engineers and technicians that plan to organize enterprises in consulting, calculation and installation of electric microgeneration equipment.

Official partnership on the project was agreed among MPEI, Kraftwerk, Eclarion, BSW Solar, Eurosolar Russia, Rosseti and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany.

In November 2020, the first seminar on the basis of the Institute of Retraining Kubanenergo" in Krasnodar was held, being attended by more than 50 specialists from southern regions of Russia. The seminar was held by Anton Kirukhin who had had a 30-year experience of the work with RES in the German University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz, Germany.

The University of Konstanz has been an official partner of MPEI for almost 30 years. Many successful joint projects have been carried out within the framework of this partnership. Dozens of Russian students completed internships or their theses in Germany.

The next seminar will be held in Kaliningrad for the Yantarenergo company on 29 December, 2020. In 2021, it is planned to hold seminars in many regions of Russia.
