MPEI postgraduate receives international award

Hein Zaw Htet, postgraduate of the Department of Electro-technical complexes of autonomous objects and Electric transport of MPEI received “Best Paper Award ― Theoretical for system science” at the IEEE International Conference on System Science and Engineering 2020 that was held in the Sunport Hall Takamatsu, Kagawa, Japan. The distinguished work was "Structural-algorithmic and parametric synthesis of N level Single Phase Voltage source inverter for solar PV system".

The conference gathered 34 young scientists from the world. The favor was given to two works: theoretical and practical. The work of Hein Zaw Htet was selected for the best presentation and best publication of the scientific-research results as theoretical in system science, responding to the following criteria:

• originality, innovation, depth, quality and significance in management theory;
• notable progress in systems science and engineering theory;
• engineering concept, relevance to electrical engineering technical literature and quality of presentation at the conference

Hein Zaw Htet actively contributes to the scientific work of the Department of Electro-technical complexes of autonomous objects and Electric transport of MPEI under the guidance of professor, Dr.Sc., Gennady Mytsyk and has published a multitude of scientific papers. Last year he took third place in the contest "Best Student Paper Award" at the IEEE conference "Actual problems of Electronic devices engineering" APEDE-2020 held on September 24-25, 2020 in the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov. The award was given to "Design concept of single phase voltage source inverter for solar PV system" work of Hein Zaw Htet, being chosen among 92 postgraduates, engineers, specialists, laboratory workers and Master students from various Technical Universities of Russia and foreign countries.
