MPEI positioned in QS Subject Ranking

In 2021 MPEI has claimed a place in the QS World University Rankings by Subject in Electric Power Engineering, showing stability and professionalism in this domain.

In the “Engineering: Electrical and Electronic” category MPEI is on the 8th line among Russian Universities and in the world - in the 401-450 segment of the best universities. It is worth saying that among the top-10 universities of the ranking, only two Universities were basing on their own finances without receiving the boost from the “5-100” project, among them MPEI.

Quacquarelli Symonds Ranking Agency is the part of the three most esteemed expert ranking agencies in the field of Higher Education and Science that annually holds dozens of events for applicants, students and staff of different universities in the world.

This year the QS subject ranking was formed for 51 subject classed into 5 Subject Fields. The ranking evaluated more than 1440 Universities of different countries in 4 criteria - academic reputation, employer reputation, citation index, research citations per paper, h-index - with the weights different for different rankings and fields.

In the list of 2021, Russia was represented by the total of 40 Universities.
