MPEI participates in round table events ENABLING PV, Solar Schools, and Solar Universities

15 March, 2021 representatives of MPEI took part in round table events ENABLING PV, Solar Schools, and Solar Universities for Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, that were carried out in online format.

The round tables were attended by Anja Schwitert, Adviser for Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Energy of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany; Jonathan Weinberg, Deputy Head of Department of Foreign Energy Policy and Decarbonization of Germany; Dmitry Burykin, Head of Renewable Energy Development Projects of "Energy Institute for Advanced Studies of PJSC ROSSETI Kuban; Oksana Siegert, Project Manager and Coordinator of the" Solar Schools "project; Georgy Kekelidze, Chairman of the Board of NP for the Development of RES EUROSOLAR Russia, Managing Director of Ideasintoenergy GmbH

On behalf of MPEI the foreword was spoken by Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International Relations, among other speakers were Alexander Kirukhin, professor of MPEI and Konstanz University of Applied Sciences, who made a report  on the University projects in Hydro Power Engineering and Renewable Energy Sources; and Maxim Silaev, Head of the Youth school “Young power engineer”, who spoke about its work peculiarities.

By sharing the experience of realization of science work and educational programs in the field of solar engineering and renewable energy sources, the representatives of the Universities discussed their ideas and proposals for further participation in the project and investigated the issues of training qualified engineers for solar industry in Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
