Welcome Day for new members of Students’ Design Bureau of MPEI

22 September, 2021, MPEI organized a Welcome Day for new participants of the Students’ Design Bureau created on the basis of our University and Power Machines JSC.

In a meeting with the students Alexander Ivanovskiy, constructor in chief of the Power Machines JSC, spoke about the organization of work in SDB and career prospects of the MPEI graduates that work in the enterprise, and those who had already worked on interesting issues last year shared their experience with the newcomers.

The program of working at SDB lasts for two years. It includes education and participation in the current projects of the company through several departments: Electric Machines, Gas Turbines, Technical management, Steam Turbines, Automation Systems, Boiler Plants, Hydro- and Turbogenerators, Hydroturbines, Programming Power Engineering Objects.

Study process goes with the use of modern software of automated project design and digital modelling that are applied by the construction and technology departments of Power Machines JSC. Members of SDB get paid and can continue their work at Power Machines JSC as design engineers of the 3rd category after graduation from MPEI.
