MPEI completes professional and social accreditation and confirms high quality of education

At the end of December, MPEI completed professional and social accreditation, claiming high quality of education and high level of training in four basic professional educational programs.

1) 13.03.02 - Distribution electrical networks;

2) 13.03.02 - Electrical equipment and electrical facilities of enterprises, organizations and institutions;

3) 13.04.03 - Power plants using organic and nuclear fuel;

4) 13.04.01 - Technology of water and fuel in the power industry.

The accreditation was carried out by the Russian Branch Union of Employers in Power Engineering and the Agency on Quality Management in Education and Career Development. The organizations gave a decision of these four programs’ accreditation for 5 years.

Professional and society accreditation of an educational program is an external evaluation of the program’s educational quality and an appreciation of the training level received by graduates who completed the study and became demanded at the labour market.

The accreditation was carried out by the Association that is the largest union of employers in the Russian fuel and energy complex, and it makes evident that MPEI education is actual and demanded on the labour market. The experts of the Association were conducting interviews with employers, students, graduates, teachers which showed high quality of graduate training and leadership in preparing specialists in Electric and Thermal Engineering.
