MPEI develops cooperation with the Electric Power Council of the CIS

On June 1, 2022, a working meeting was held with representatives of the executive committee of the CIS Electric Power Council (CIS EEC).

On behalf of MPEI, Nikolay Rogalev, Rector, Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Sergey Belousov, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation, Anastasia Mashkova, Director for Development of Integration Policy took part.

From the CIS Executive Committee side, the meeting was attended by Taras Kupchikov, Chairman, Vasiliy Bormatin, Deputy Chairman, Olga Frolova, Director of the Strategy Department.

The parties discussed the issues of ensuring the interaction of the scientific and expert community in the CIS member states to optimize innovative development in the energy sector, the transformation of the working group on vocational education, training and work with personnel in the CIS electric power industry, the draft concept for the digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex of the states - CIS members.

Based on the meeting results, the first instructions were given and work began on developing the agreements reached.

By the decision of the Council of CIS Heads of Government dated October 30, 2015, MPEI was approved as the base organization of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States for training, professional retraining and advanced personnel training in the electric power industry.

The base organization was created for the purpose of organizational, educational, methodological and personnel support for training, professional retraining and advanced specialists training in the field of electric power industry of the member states of the CIS.
