Second graduation of bachelors from MPEI under joint training program with North China Electric Power University

15 July, 2022, MPEI hosted a solemn presentation of bachelor's degrees to the second group of Chinese students who successfully completed their studies under the joint program of MPEI and North China Electric Power University (NCEPU). The joint program is being implemented within the framework of the University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (University SCO) with scholarship support from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

Chinese students who have mastered joint programs in the fields of Thermal Power Engineering, Power Engineering and Nuclear Power Engineering studied for the first two years in China at North China Electric Power University and for the second two years at MPEI.

The first year of study at MPEI was held online due to the pandemic restrictions. In autumn, 2021 Chinese students were able to come to MPEI and continue their studies full-time. The perseverance of the students allowed them to successfully complete their studies in Russian and receive bachelor's degrees from MPEI and bachelor's degrees from NCEPU. Most of the graduates are going to continue their education in master study.

A joint undergraduate program focused on the use of the Russian language has been implemented since 2017 within the framework of the University SCO and with the scholarship support of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.​
