MPEI participates in general meeting of GEIDCO members

16 September, 2022, MPEI took part in the general meeting of members of the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO)

Seven issues were on the agenda, including the approval of the GEIDCO work report, financial report, as well as voting and election methods of key leaders of the organization for a new term.

MPEI representatives were able to take part in the election of members to the Council of the organization for a new term by voting. Thus, by a majority of votes, the procedure for holding elections to the Council members and the new composition of the GEIDCO Council was approved.

Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) is an international organization of interested firms, associations, institutions and individuals dedicated to promoting sustainable energy development worldwide.

The goal of GEIDCO is to promote the creation of a global energy interconnection (GEI) system to meet the global demand for green, clean electricity in order to implement the United Nations Sustainable Energy for all Initiative and climate change initiatives, and to ensure the sustainable development of mankind.

22 December, 2020, the Russian National Committee of the Organization for Development and Cooperation of the Global Energy Association GEIDCO was opened at MPEI. Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI rector, was elected Chairman of the National Committee.
