CIS Scientific Expert Society continues work03.11.20222 November, 2022, a joint session of the Science and Technical Board of Scientific and Technical Council of the Unified Energy System and the Scientific Council of RAS on systematic research in Power Engineering was held. The meeting was dedicated to the topic named "Overview of development trends and experience in the use of distributed energy resources 2022". The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Scientific and Expert Community of the CIS from the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan as well as their leading industrial, scientific and educational institutions, including: KEGOC, Sukhoi, Scientific Research Institute of Energy, etc. President of the Council, MPEI Rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Nikolay Rogalev opened the meeting with an introductory speech welcoming all the meeting participants. The main report was given by Vladislav Samoilenko, Ph.D., Russian representative at SC C6 CIGRE, Associate Professor of the Department "Automated Electrical Systems" of the Ural Federal University named Boris Yeltsin. This event was the second one for the community experts in the last month. The previous one was dedicated to the topic named "Strategy for the development of nuclear energy in Russia”. Both meetings were held at a high organizational and scientific level. Reference: MPEI and the Executive Committee of the Electriс Power Council of the CIS cooperate in the organization of the scientific expert society for the optimization of the innovational development in the energy field. Now the Council includes more than 180 experts in the field of electric power industry from the CIS and acts like an independent mechanism to increase the relevance, scientific and practical value of the CIS energy structure activities. The goal of the expert community’s work is to promote development and optimization of research activities and innovations, conditions for the timely identification of different risks, and approaches to prevent or minimize their consequences in the field of electric power industry in the CIS.
