Visit of a delegation of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to MPEI

​17 November, 2022, a delegation of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited MPEI, represented by Mr. Valijon Niyazkhojaev, General Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Fatkhulla Abdurakhmanov, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ibragim Arsen Talyp Oglu and Mr. A.M. Askarov, employees of the Legal and Consular Department.

From MPEI side, the delegation was welcomed by Sultan Makoev, Director on International Education and Sofi Akopyan, Deputy Director on International Education.

During the talks, the importance of cooperation was noted and its prospects in the field of higher education were discussed.

Then there was a meeting of the delegation of the Embassy with MPEI students - citizens of the Uzbekistan Republic. Mr. Consul General Niyazkhojaev Valijon urged compatriots to study harder and acquire the necessary knowledge, because the country needs highly qualified specialists, as well as to actively interact with the Embassy on all pressing issues, master the culture of the host country and acquaint others with the rich history and culture of Uzbekistan.

The delegation was given a tour of the Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy and the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering, during which the guests got acquainted with the modern equipment in the laboratories and with the activities of each institute.
