Spring Meeting of BRICS Network University International thematic group on Energy

12 April, 2023 the coordinators of partner universities of the BRICS Network University International thematic group on Energy had an online meeting.

At the meeting, participants were introduced to Prof. Dawid Serfontein, a new project coordinator from the North-West University in South Africa. He proposed to hold a joint seminar of the thematic group on energy devoted to the specifics of the energy transition to clean energy in the BRICS countries in May of this year.

In addition, speakers put forward other topics and forms of interaction between participant universities of the international thematic group which will be included in the updated roadmap for 2023-2025. The draft roadmap has been sent out to all coordinators for revision within the next month.

The BRICS Network University is an association of higher education institutions of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

BRICS NU is an educational project aimed at developing multilateral joint educational training programs and joint research projects in six priority areas: energy; informatics and information security; research of the BRICS countries; ecology and climate change; water resources and pollution neutralization; economy.

MPEI is the coordinator of the direction "Energy".
