MPEI faculty member appointed associate fellow at a Malaysian University

Assoc. Prof. Tolba Mohamed Ali of the Electric Power Systems Department at MPEI’s Institute of Electrical Power Engineering has been appointed an Associate Fellow of the Solar Research Institute at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.

The Solar Research Institute is an advanced research center at Universiti Teknologi MARA specializing in the development and application of renewable energy technologies, with a particular focus on solar energy and its integration into power systems. The Institute conducts applied research, provides professional training and expert services, as well as supports the commercialization of solar energy technologies.

One of the Institute’s key research facilities is the UiTM Solar Power Station in Gambang, Pahang. The facility supplies electricity to Malaysia’s national power grid.

Tolba Mohamed Ali’s appointment as an Associate Fellow of the Solar Research Institute recognizes his professional expertise and creates additional opportunities to strengthen research and academic cooperation between MPEI and Universiti Teknologi MARA in electric power engineering, renewable energy, and advanced energy technologies.
