Annual Interfestival at MPEI

More than 1000 people from 62 world countries are trained at MPEI. The number is impressive, and every year for all these students at MPEI the Interfestival is organized. It is a special event for our university. Interfestival includes various events: soccer and badminton competitions, ethnic food competition. One of the most important events of Interfestival is a gala concert where international students present their creative national spots. Moreover, in frames of the concert the rewarding of active students takes place and it is important to note that during the realization of Interfestival a special attention is payed to the exhibition that usually takes place on the first floor of the main building.

There foreign students deploy thematic roll-ups, representing their countries. Surely MPEI students are interested in this exhibition and a lot of them come to look more closely at traditional clothing of Myanmar or Vietnam, listen to music of the African countries, to taste food of Kyrgyzstan and Latin America. During the exhibition people can dance and make a lot of photos.

MPEI is an international University, and this day the unity of students is especially evident. This year MPEI Rector and the Adviser on culture of the Embassy of Egypt Dr. Osama E. M. Elservi attended the exhibition; they participated in celebration and they appreciated creativity of foreign students. Besides Interfestival, international dinners, visits of theater and events aimed at acquaintance with rich culture of our country are let to international students by MPEI. This year students visited ballets "The Nutcracker ", "Swan Lake", representation in circus.

Interfestival is a spectacular example of successful experience of foreign students’ adaptation at MPEI.​​​​​​​​​
