Ph.D.-student of MPEI did an internship at Tokyo University of Science

MPEI Ph.D.-student G. Ziborov among students of Tokyo University of Science

In the period from the 15th of September, 2016 to the 15th of March, 2017 Ph.D.-student Gleb Ziborov (Institute of Electrical Engineering) did an internship at Tokyo University of Science in frames of the implementation of the academic mobility program. The arrangement of this internship was supervised by Yu. Kuzma-Kichta, prof. of Dept. of Engineering Thermophysics, the coordinator of the cooperation between MPEI and Tokyo University of Science.

G. Ziborov informs about his experience of preparation for training abroad:

"The idea of this trip has started up in the spring 2015 when I graduated from the Master's program. There was a great desire to continue training in the postgraduate study and whenever possible to get the international experience abroad. Since autumn 2015 to spring 2016 the necessary reserve for future trip was created (I wrote the article for the international magazine and defined the travelling plan). The official registration of all the necessary papers took 4 months.

Housing conditions were excellent, as well as conditions to perform the research. Japanese were friendly people and they helped me during the adaptation. During the training in Japan I managed to broaden considerably my horizons as the result of communication with the Japanese colleagues. There was an opportunity to join everyday life of the Japanese students, to attend joint events; it was succeeded to improve my skills of communication in English.

I can tell that the efforts that I spent for realization of this trip have been completely justified, and gotten experience is worth the cost. I hope that cooperation with Tokyo University of Science will be continued, and somebody else among MPEI students and Ph.D.-students will be able to get such an experience"..​​​
