MPEI visited the XI week of education of SCO member countries

On the 26th-27th of May, 2017 in Astana (Kazakhstan) the XI week of education of member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization "Education without frontiers" was arranged. The representatives of the Ministries of Education of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, and also delegation of basic Universities in all 7 areas of University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization participated in the event. Since 2010 MPEI has been the international and national coordinator of one of the preparation areas – "Power Engineering". MPEI delegation including Vice Rector on international relations Zamolodchikov Vladimir and Head of International Administration Shirinskii Sergey participated in the meeting of the permanent Expert working group of SCO member states on cooperation in education, during  the meeting of Rector Council of basic Universities of SCO University. Moreover in frames of the events a round table in the Power Engineering was organized and the representatives of Universities from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan cooperating within this area took part there. Following the results of the round table MPEI Vice Rector on international relations Zamolodchikov Vladimir made the report at the meeting of USCO Rector Council. USCO senior staff noted high quality and the achieved results of work of the Power engineering area.
