MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev at the Interregional conference of Rectors of the Universities of Russia and Uzbekistan

Rector of MPEI Nikolay Rogalev and Vice-Rector on International Relations Alexander Tarasov took part in the Interregional conference of Rectors of the Universities of Russia and Uzbekistan in Astrakhan State Technical University.

The Russian Delegation at the conference was headed by the Deputy Minister of science and higher education of Russia Marina Borovskaya. The Uzbek delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of higher and special education of Uzbekistan Uzokboy Shoimkulovich Begimkulov.

The conference was dedicated to the issues of bilateral agreement signing between MPEI and Uzbekistan and establishing the MPEI Branch in Tashkent.

MPEI Rector held a speech called "MPEI Branch in Tashkent as a strategy center of preparation of Highly Qualified Personnel for Uzbek Power Engineering Sector".

On the meeting the sides have made agreements about the basic parameters of a unified model of opening the Branch Offices of Russian Universities in Uzbekistan. ​​​​
