BRICS online round table: Educational cooperation, Network University, innovations and mobility assistance

In the framework of the Russian chairmanship in BRICS in 2020, on the 30 March 2020 the online round table "BRICS and international cooperation: Network University, innovations and mobility assistance" took place.

The event was organized by the Expert Council for preparation and maintenance of the Russian chairmanship in BRICS and National Committee of BRICS Research in the framework of the chairmanship preparation in this year.

Representatives of Russian Ministries and Services, Instittutions of development and leading scientific experts of Russia participated in the program of round tables. MPEI was represented by the Vice-Rector on International Relations Alexander Tarasov.

The experts discussed the vast set of actual contemporary issues, made an accent on the aid for development of educational systems, and the development of skills and competencies of youth as well. These problems are of the first priority of National strategies of BRICS countries. It is worth mentioning that through the past years the governments of these countries aspired to increase the investments to all levels of education. Within that, the promotion of the BRICS Network University has always been among the main goals of the union. In the framework of this round table the experts discussed the possibilities of strengthening and deepening of educational cooperation, i.e. giving assistance to the BRICS University development, to student mobility and to the implementation of innovational technologies in the educational process.
