Session of National Coordination Committee of BRICS Network University

On May 20, 2020, a meeting of National Coordinating Committee of BRICS Network University took place in a remote format. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as Russian universities participating in the Network University. From the side of MPEI the meeting was attended by Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International Relations and Sergey Shirinskii, Head of International Administration.

Welcoming speeches were made by Boris Zhelezov, Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Alexey Levchenko, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector on International Affairs of RUDN.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues of educational activities within the framework of the Russian Federation’s Chairmanship of the BRICS in 2020, of the meetings of the BRICS Network University International Thematic Groups, as well as prospects for interstate cooperation in the framework of the admission campaign for the 2020/2021 academic year. The delegates approved draft Concepts for the Functioning and Development of the BRICS Network University and for the Network University Roadmap in the short and medium terms on the purpose of subsequent consideration and submission for approval by the International Board of Directors of BRICS Network University.​
