MPEI as key member of International Russian-Chinese Online School ASRTU
From 2 to 6 of November, 2020, in the framework of Russian-Chinese Year of Science and Innovation, an international online school ASRTU "Ecologically pure energy and sustainable development" was taking place. The event had the aim to strengthen and broaden the ties of cooperation, humanities and education development of the Universities from both sides and to exchange modern technologies and educational resources.
In a 5-days course the educational leaders of Russian and China were reading lectures in English in two fields of study: "Power Engineering" and "Architecture". The school gathered around 750 students and postgraduates from 35 prominent technical Russian and Chinese Universities.
The representatives of the Permanent Secretariat of ASRTU greeted the guests of the solemn Opening Ceremony. Russian Universities’ deputy was the Head of the Scientific-Educational Centre of MPEI "Energy Ecology" Irina Putilova.
MPEI provided the lecturers requested by ASRTU for the "Power Engineering" field:

During the lectures, students were able to discover modern trends and approaches in the fields of clean and efficient transformation and use of traditional energy, optimal methods for assessing power plants and structures, large-scale development and use of renewable energy sources, development of hydrogen energy, smart grids and smart energy systems, advanced energy storage and advanced energy saving technologies, essential issues of ecology and sustainable development. 18 MPEI students heard the course and are receiving the ASRTU certificates.
The event was fruitful and captivating. Heads of ASRTU from both sides pointed out the outstanding contribution of MPEI to the Online school, and as well thanked the lecturers for active participation and the ASRTU-MPEI coordinator Irina Kulik for the efficient planning.
