MPEI and Technical University of Philippines signed Memorandum of understanding30.12.2020
28 December, 2020, the official ceremony of signing
the Memorandum of understanding between National University of Philippines and
MPEI was held. The ceremony was organized by the Founder and Director of the
B2BVostok Amerigo Tatel and was conducted remotely through MPEI Cisco Webex.
The ceremony was attended by the Administration of
both MPEI and TUP and the Consul General of the Embassy of the Philippines in the
Russian Federation Robert O. Ferrer Jr., Vice Consul Mary Grace Perpetua and
Economic Attache Vida Cara from the Embassy of the Philippines,
Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Philippines
Vladlen Epifanov and prof. Viktor Sumskiy - Director of the ASEAN Center at
MGIMO.
 The Memorandum of understanding was signed by the
Rector of MPEI Nikolay Rogalev and President of Technical University of
Philippines Dr. Jesus Rodrigo F. Torres. This agreement opens the gates for
cooperation development between the two universities in the field of education
and research. The primary scope of the topics of mutual interest that the sides
have chosen was renewable power engineering for provision of energy to the far
corners of the Philippines and nuclear power engineering for evaluation of
prospects of atomic energy use in the country. In these domains MPEI has
provided qualified specialists, Tatyana Shestopalova, Head of Institute of
Renewable Energy and Hydropower of our university, and Alexander Anikeev, Head
of the Department of Nuclear Power Stations |
