MPEI took part in Chinese project defence
19 March, 2021, the joint educational project of MPEI and Henan University of Science and Technology (HAUST) was considered by the expert Сommittee of People’s Republic of China.
From the MPEI part the event was attended by Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International Relations, Sergey Shirinskii, Head of International Administration and Marina Osipova, Deputy Head of Department of International Relations. The Chinese part was represented by Professor Kong Liuan, President of HAUST, and its administration.
The experts of the approval Сommittee were delegated by the Ministry of Education of China and the Department of Education of Henan.
The decision of the Сommittee, if positive, gives the students of HAUST an opportunity to pass the education at MPEI.
In the framework of the project, it is planned to open 5 joint educational programs in the following fields of study:
09.03.01 Informatics and Computer Engineering,
13.03.02 Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering;
03.15.01 Mechanical engineering;
12.03.04 Biotechnical systems and technologies.
11.04.04 Electronics and Nanoelectronics
The initial selection of the students is realized on the basis of HAUST, according to the common annual Chinese state plan for the enrollment of foreigners. Every year it’s planned to enroll around 450 applicants in every field of study with the upper bound of 1750 enrollees.
The partners are now awaiting the decision of the Committee.
