Visit of Myanmar Embassy delegation to MPEI on postgraduate Diplomas awarding
31 March, 2021, MPEI received the visit of the
delegation of Myanmar Embassy headed by the military attaché Commodore Cho So
In the framework of the visit the awarding of postgraduate
Diplomas to Myanmar citizens.
On behalf of MPEI, Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on
International Relations and Tatyana Shestopalova, Head of the IHRES, gave a
word for the ceremony that was attended by the supervisors of Myanmar
postgraduates and members of their departments. In return, Cho So Mo and the
postgraduates expressed their thankfulness to MPEI employees for personnel
Tatyana Shestopalova and Alexey Vaskov, Deputy Head of
IHRES, led a tour at the laboratories of the Institute and spoke of
collaboration with JSC RusHydro.
After the ceremony, guests visited the Department of
Power Electric Systems, where Oleg Orlov, the Master student of the 2 year of
the Department showed the virtual training simulator for personnel of power
The final event of the day was the discussion of
questions of collaboration between MPEI and Myanmar Embassy in the field of
MPEI has been preparing postgraduates from Birma
(Myanmar Republic) since 1965. Until now, our University has trained 1 Dr.Sc.,
68 Ph.D. and 454 masters of science. Today MPEI trains 1 doctor of science, 26
postgraduates and 29 masters of science from Myanmar.
As the result of the meeting, the sides expressed
their hope for well fruitful collaboration.
