MPEI Rector meets the ministers of the Eurasian Economic Commission19.04.2022
On April 19, 2022, Members of the Board (Ministers) of
the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) visited MPEI.

From the EEC side, the meeting was attended by the Minister for Customs
Cooperation Mamytkanov M.S., Minister for Energy and Infrastructure Asanbekov
T.I., Head of the Tax Policy Department Mambetaliev N.T., Assistant Minister
for Customs Cooperation Turabayev B.M., Assistant Minister for Energy and
Infrastructure Baltashev M.S.

From MPEI side, Rector Rogalev N.D., Vice-Rector for International Relations
Tarasov A.Y., Professor of the Department of Robotics, Mechatronics, Dynamics
and Machine Strength Duishenaliev T.B., Director of the Directorate for the
Development of Integration Policy Mashkova A.M. and Deputy Head of the International
Relations Department Osipova M.S took part in the meeting.

Within the framework of the meeting, an excursion was organized to the
Department of Hydropower and Renewable Energy Sources, to the classrooms and
laboratories of the Institute of Electric Power Engineering. EEC ministers also
got acquainted with the center activities of the National Technology Initiative
"Technologies for the transportation of electricity and distributed
intelligent energy systems".

The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between MPEI and the EEC. The
possibility of using the experience of resource centers and the Russian-Kyrgyz
Consortium of Technical Universities (RKKTU) to train highly qualified
personnel for the needs of the energy industry of the EAEU countries was
considered.

An agreement was reached to establish a steering committee chaired by the EEC
and MPEI to support and develop the proposed model of continuous training of
personnel, as well as to introduce the concept of resource centers in other
countries of the Eurasian region.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is a permanent regulatory body of the
Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Started operating on February 2, 2012. The main
purpose of the Eurasian Economic Commission is to ensure the conditions for the
EAEU functioning and development, the creation of proposals for the further successful
integration.
