Seminar of the Eastern European Universities Association at MPEI
May 27, 2022, a seminar for
universities in Russia and the CIS "Solutions for the recruitment of
foreign students and the receipt of payments from abroad" was held.
The event was organized by MPEI's
permanent partner for work with foreign students, the Eastern European
Universities Association (EEUA). The seminar was held in a hybrid format: the
face-to-face part was held at the MPEI, while the event was broadcast online,
on the association's website.
At the seminar, tools for attracting
foreign students and available financial services in the current environment were
Bogdan Voronovsky, Director General
of the Eastern European Universities Association presented an overview of the
international education market and the current situation. Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector
on International Relations of MPEI spoke about the recruitment tools available
to Russian universities today and shared MPEI's experience in recruiting
foreign students. Sergey Fomin,
Vice-Rector on International Relations VyatSU spoke about the available
recruitment tools and shared his experience of recruiting students at face-to-face
exhibitions in the CIS countries.
The discussion within the framework
of the seminar touched upon many topical issues of modern educational activity.
The specialists who participated in the event could get a lot of useful ideas
regarding attracting foreign students to Russian universities.
