MPEI delegation visited MPEI Branch in Tashkent

From November 30 to December 4, MPEI delegation headed by Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, visited the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the campus of the Branch was inspected: finishing works have been carried out at a fairly high level, at the moment the Branch is being fitted with laboratory equipment.

The meeting was held with Turabdzhanov Sadritdin Makhamatdinovich, Rector of the Tashkent state technical University Named after Islam Karimov, MPEI Honorary Professor.

During the meeting, the issues of the Branch functioning and the implementation of joint educational programs between MPEI and Tashkent State Technical University were discussed. The meeting was held with Kahraman Allaev, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, MPEI graduate, discussed a number of issues on conducting joint scientific research of the Republic of Uzbekistan and MPEI.

Based on the results of the Branch campus inspection, meetings were attended by Abdulla Aripov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Jurabek  Mirzamakhmudov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which both parties expressed their interest in the speedy implementation of the final stage of preparing the Branch for the opening. The meeting was held with Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which issues of financing the Branch and the implementation of joint educational programs were discussed. Agreements were reached on this issue.

There was also a visit to the Russian House in Tashkent, where a meeting was held with Mikhail  Vozhdaev, Head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo. Both parties discussed the interaction in training personnel for the joint work of the Branch and the Russian language teaching and a number of other interaction and cooperation issues.
