MPEI attended Vietnam Youth Day

25 March, 2023 MPEI took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the Youth Day of Vietnam. The invitation was accepted from the Embassy of Vietnam in Moscow.

Alisa Meleshkova, Specialist of MPEI Directorate on International Relations, was present at the meeting.

The Academy gathered representatives of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Russian universities, Vietnamese associations, as well as representatives of Russian business and more than 700 students from Vietnam studying at various universities in Russia.

All guests enjoyed master classes, art exhibition and gala concert "Melody of Youth". The festive day at the Academy was a solemn conclusion of the Youth Month in Vietnam which traditionally takes place in spring every year.

The first Vietnamese students entered MPEI in 1953. MPEI is proud that in 1954 it was honored to receive President Ho Chi Minh, who paid an unofficial visit to MPEI. Over the years, MPEI has prepared for Vietnam over 650 bachelors, masters and specialists, 120 candidates of science and 10 doctors of science. More than 160 Vietnamese specialists completed internships at MPEI. At present time in MPEI 5 lecturers from Vietnam give lectures and conduct practical classes for MPEI students and postgraduates.ф
