Rector of largest Uzbek University awarded MPEI Honorable Professor title

1 July, 2022, a solemn ceremony of awarding the Honorable Professor certificate to Sadritdin Turabdzhanov, Rector of Tashkent State Technical University was held at the session of the Academic Council of MPEI.

The ceremony was led by Nikolay Rogalev, Rector of MPEI. He gave Professor Turabdzhanov signs of merit: a cloak and a diploma of MPEI Honorable professor that give the rights, honors and privileges stated in the Codex of the University and its traditions. The meeting was attended as well by teachers and staff members of MPEI, its Vice-rectors and Heads of the Institutes.

Dr. Turabjanov is a doctor of technical sciences, a professor and an outstanding scientist. He is the Rector of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, the Chairman of the Scientific Council at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, the full member of the Russian International Academy of Sciences of Higher Education, the member of the editorial board of the International Journal "Chemical Technology". As well, he was awarded the high titles of Doctor and Honorable Professor of the Belarusian State Technological University, the Belarusian National Technical University and the Peoples' Friendship University of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main direction of Sadritdin Turabdzhanov’s scientific activity is scientific and applied research in chemistry, in the field of technology for products of basic (heavy) organic synthesis, as well as the creation of low-waste technologies for the production of pyridines, acetone and esters, corrosion and scale inhibitors based on local raw materials and industrial waste.

Awarding Dr. Turabdzhanov the MPEI Honorable Professor title is to be a factor of strengthening ties between the Universities of two States, enhancing the quality of joint research conduct and building an international MPEI reputation.
