Traditional summer meeting of BRICS International thematic group on Energy

06 July, 2022, a meeting of the International thematic group on Energy of the BRICS Network University (BRICS NU) was held online, attended by BRICS NU coordinators of partner universities.

At the event, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro reported on its project Maglev-Cobra that was offered to be realized by a Consortium of Universities of Brazil, China, India and Russia in the framework of the BRICS Governments’ Grant.

Another important experience was a lecture given by a representative of the North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power who informed the colleagues on the new contest of joint scientific projects that was initiated by governments of Russia and China and as well gave all the details of it to all the Universities-members of the International thematic group.

One of these projects was presented by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and was dedicated to development of the Centre for Doctoral Studies that might be of interest for the BRICS NU.

This and other projects will be discussed by the Energy group members before the next meeting that is planned to be held in autumn 2022.
