MPEI at the general meeting of RKKTU

On September 21, 2023 the 11th General Meeting of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities (RKKTU) was held in Issyk-Kul region in Kyrgyzstan. More than 50 people, representatives of 14 Russian and 8 Kyrgyz universities-members of the Consortium attended the meeting. Also 10 universities participated online with presentations.

At the general meeting presentations were made by Russian Secretariat (S.V. Shirinsky) and Kyrgyz Secretariat (T.S. Borukeyev) on the work of the Consortium for the past 2022-23 year and on the plans for the next year. A number of the Consortium universities-members reported on their activities and put forward proposals to expand cooperation. Among them are Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (V.V. Galishnikova), Tambov State Technical University (E.S. Mishchenko, online), Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN" (N.Y. Popova), Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (A.A. Solntsev) and Kazan State Power Engineering University (R.V. Akhmetova).

At the general meeting it was decided to accept the Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications to the Consortium membership. Also, after the re-apply of the Altyn Tuyun National Republican Children's Engineering Academy, it obtained the status of the RKKTU partner in pre-university training.

Several new agreements on the implementation of joint educational programs by Russian and Kyrgyz universities of the Consortium were signed at the meeting as well as protocols on admitting new students to joint educational programs (MPEI and Kyrgyz State Technical University (KSTU) named after I. Razzakov).

After the general meeting, the final part of the plenary session of the IX International Network Scientific and Technical Conference "Integration Processes in Scientific, Technical and Educational Space" was held. B.T. Torobekov, KSTU Vice-Rector, made a report on the work of the sections. He noted the expansion of the geography of the conference participants. In addition to Russian and Kyrgyz universities, universities from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took part in the conference. The conference participants adopted a resolution with a call to popularize the practice of organizing joint research of the Consortium universities-members as well as to involve more students and Ph.D.-students of universities to conduct research, provide them with more opportunities to prepare reports and presentation of research results.
