MPEI at the IX meeting of the CIS Industrial Policy Council in Bishkek

The agenda of the Council meeting included a wide range of industrial development questions. Many issues were discussed at the meeting including priority areas of activity within the Commonwealth, energy security, scientific and innovative development, mechanical engineering and human resources.

At the meeting, participants discussed the directions in the industrial sector that can be worked out in the future.

Turatbek Duishenaliev, MPEI professor, in his speech shared information about the results achieved in the implementation of some measures for the development of energy engineering in the CIS member states. He noted that sharing the experience on the application of the best technological solutions and developments is the key to develop strong cooperation.

The next meeting of the Council is scheduled to occur in 2024 in the Russian Federation in the online format.

The meetings of the Council are an important platform for collegial discussion by heads and experts of ministers, departments and specialized organizations of the CIS member states of questions and tasks in the field of industrial policy, making important coordinated decisions on the development of various economic sectors.

In accordance with the Regulations on the Council, its meetings are held once a year and in 2022 at a regular meeting in Tashkent, membership was transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting is attended by members of the Council and representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the CIS Executive Committee, scientific and educational organizations as well as business communities of the Commonwealth states.
