MPEI at the interregional conference of rectors of universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan

On September 25-26, 2023, the IV Interregional Conference of Rectors of Universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held on the base of the St. Petersburg State University with the support of the Russian Department for Presidential Affairs. At the conference there was a meeting of Subcommissions on Science and Education of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Maxim Kravchenko, Head of the MPEI Tashkent Branch, participated in the meeting. 

The purpose of the conference was to discuss the strategic directions for the development of the Russian-Uzbek cooperation  in the education field, enhancement of interuniversity cooperation in training personnel in various fields including energy, sharing experience in creating advanced engineering schools as well as the exchange of best practices in the field of personnel training.

At the conference, participants discussed the main issues on the development of the MPEI Tashkent branch. The branch’s representative office will continue its focus on close cooperation in power sector strengthening scientific ties with universities, promoting the Russian language, history and culture, developing academic exchanges and joint projects.
