MPEI is the organizer of the International School in China

Over two weeks 15 students of the MPEI Institute of Electrical Power Engineering have been studying together with students of the North China Electric Power University. The training is organized on Hainan Island, in the temporary campus of the joint MPEI-Hainan University in Linshui city.

"The organization of the joint International School with North China Electric Power University is, first of all, an exchange of experience and knowledge with colleagues and students from other countries. The combination of the tools and skills will contribute to the qualitative realization of our joint international project MPEI-Hainan University. Thanks to such projects we have an excellent understanding of working with colleagues from China in the education, science and innovation fields", - Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, said about the International School in China.

In addition to classes, the program participants daily attend various events and excursions that allow them to get acquainted with the Chinese culture. The students are accompanied by two lecturers of the MPEI Institute of Electrical Power Engineering: Vladimir Korolev, Senior Lecturer and Maxim Silaev, Associate Professor.

Preparations for holding the school started in July 2023. During the visit to the North China Electric Power University, MPEI employees held a number of working meetings with the deans of the Faculty of Electric Power and Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Computer Science to discuss the prospects of cooperation on the project.

At the same time, MPEI-Hainan joint university master's degree students started training in electric power engineering and artificial intelligence technologies on Hainan Island. The classes are conducted by professors of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering and the Institute of Information Technologies and Computer Science of MPEI.
