MPEI participated in the XII Forum of Universities of Engineering and Technology of the Union State

The XII Forum of Higher Educational Institutions of Engineering and Technology of the Union State was held in Minsk at the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). The opening ceremony and the first plenary session of the Forum were attended by Dmitry Mezentsev, State Secretary of the Union State, Marianna Schiotkina, Head of the Representative Office of the Union State Standing Committee in Minsk, Grigory Rapota, Member of the Federation Council Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on International Affairs, Boris Gryzlov, Head of the Russian Diplomatic Mission in Belarus, Andrei Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Kharitonchik, BNTU Rector.

From October 23 to 27, 2023, Natalia Ozerova, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Ecology and Labor Protection and the Department of Energy Structures and Hydro-Technical Installations, with students: Kirill Khmelev (group Эл-18-21), Kirill Zinkov and Andrei Yakubov (group Иг-04а-22) participated in the XII Forum of Higher Educational Institutions of Engineering and Technology of the Union State at the invitation of the organizers.

Representatives of 4 countries, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe, attended the forum.

Out of more than 200 participants, 11 works with their full economic and technical reason made it to the final of Section 3 "Youth Innovative Entrepreneurship". On October 26, MPEI students of the Engineering Ecology and Labor Protection Department and the Energy Structures and Hydro-Technical Installations Department presented their project "Modernization of cement plant by installing a cyclone heat exchanger". The section was supervised by Maxim Zhurkevich, Manager for support of innovative entrepreneurship of BNTU Science and Technology Park. 

October 25, 2023 Natalia Ozerova shared her experience in the framework of the topic: "Renewal of environmental education" in the section "Priority directions of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities of the Union State universities" at the seminar "Priority directions of the energy sector development of the Union State". The section was supervised by Evgeny Ponomarenko, Dean of the Power Engineering Department.
