Studies in the MPEI-Hainan Joint University have started

On October 16, MPEI together with North China Electric Power University started the implementation of the MPEI-Hainan Joint University project in China.

The MPEI-Hainan joint university's master's degree program in electrical power engineering and artificial intelligence technologies is underway on Hainan Island. MPEI professors of the Electrical Power Engineering Institute and the Information Technologies and Computer Science Institute conduct classes for students from 7 countries trained in groups.

The students of the MPEI-Hainan Joint University master's program are living in the temporary campus of the joint university in Linshui city.

In early 2021 the Chinese side initiated the project of creating a new university in Hainan province on the basis of educational and methodological potential of MPEI. At the first stage, MPEI-Hainan Joint University will implement full-time education at the higher education level on master's degree programs.
