Visit of the delegation of the Eurasia International Corporation

On November 14, 2023 the Eurasia International Corporation (China) headed by Mr. Feng Yaou, President, visited MPEI.

The guests were received by Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International Relations, and the International Administration personnel.

The guests were given the demonstration tour of the Hydropower and Renewable Energy Institute (IHRE); the Electrical Power Engineering Institute (IEPE), the National Technology Initiative Center for Electricity Transportation Technologies and Distributed Intelligent Energy Systems (NTI) and the GOELRO museum.

The personnel of the departments demonstrated modern equipment in laboratories, computer classes, showed how teaching and laboratory stands work, told about the achievements and development prospects of the institutes.

During the visit, there was a presentation about MPEI and discussion of cooperation issues. MPEI representatives discussed the development of the MPEI-Hainan Joint University project. In particular, it was noted that a summer school was held in October 2023. Students of the "ETALON" groups from the Electrical Power Engineering Institute together with the North China Energy University of the Joint University of MPEI-Hainan took part in the summer school.

MPEI professors conducted the first block of classes. The students recruited to the Joint University are motivated and ready to continue their studies. In addition, there was a proposal to add new study fields, which will allow students from different countries to choose the area of interest and gain useful knowledge and skills that will help them in the future.

As a result of the meeting, the Chinese side agreed to support the promising MPEI-Hainan Joint University project and promote the development of joint scientific and technical cooperation in the energy field.
