The events to the 25th Anniversary of the cooperation between MPEI and Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (Germany)

On the 31st of May, 2016 in National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" there took place the welcome of the delegation of students and representatives from Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (Germany) on the occasion of the 25-year cooperation between Universities.

Welcome speech was made by Rector of National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" N. Rogalev. The staff of Department of International Relations prepared the presentation about MPEI cooperation with Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences. The Dept. of Hydro Power Engineering and Renewable Energy Sources prepared the presentation about the Department. 

Within the visit there was performed an excursion to the laboratories of Dept. of Hydro Power Engineering and Renewable Energy Sources; Dept. of High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Physics; Dept. of Relay Protection and Automation of Energy Systems. The students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the advanced developments of National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute", to meet the executive staff, professors and students of the University, to ask questions about profile objects in the field of power engineering and to learn about features of power supply in Russia.

The Program of the visit of the delegation from Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences to Russia since the 29th of May to the 5th of June, 2016 includes the workshop on the issues concerning the information protection of industrial and energy facilities held by the executive staff and employees from Kaspersky Lab, and sightseeing excursions across Moscow and St. Petersburg. 

Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences expressed its gratitude to MPEI Rector for the high level of the welcome organization. 

Information: Partnership between National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" and Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences started in 1991 with the exchange training of the German students from the laboratory of electrical engineering and the Russian Ph.D.-students of Dept. of Hydro Power Engineering and Renewable Energy Sources, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Introscopy, and also Dept. of Metal Technology. For last period over 200 Russian and German experts took part in the cooperation. In addition to annual students' exchange, the parties organized ambitious exhibitions and conferences, there were founded scientific and implementation firms, there were created new electric devices. National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" and Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences practice joint thesis defense and thesis work defense.
