The program’s aim is to provide education of highly qualified scientific and engineering personnel for enterprises of the radio-electronic, aerospace industry, military-industrial complex and security agencies. The objects of professional activity of specialists who mastered the education program are: radio-electronic systems, complexes and devices, as well as methods and means of their design, modeling and experimental testing.

Electronics and Nanoelectronics

The goal of the program is training qualified personnel for research and development of semiconductor devices, analog and digital integrated circuits. A wide educational profile allows our graduates to work in various fields of science and technology (design of analog and digital integrated circuits, research and development of new nanomaterials and nanoelectronic devices).

Dept. of Radio Devices and Antenna Systems​, Dept. of Radio Systems

The goal of the program is to prepare highly qualified personnel for scientific research who will be able to improve the existing and develop the fundamentally new radio systems. Areas of activity of the graduates are: development of electronic equipment for aviation and space; creation of electronic components for defense and security; security systems; research of new types of complex signals for radar technology, radio navigation, and telecommunications with a higher level of information security; nanotechnology for creating nodes of the millimeter and terahertz ranges; technical equipment used for recording and broadcasting studios; FPGA programming and digital signal processing.

The purpose of this Master's education program is to provide information and telecommunication support and to establish a scientific and intellectual basis for the problems of energy efficiency and security in Russia through the integrated development at the world level of a system for training and retaining highly qualified personnel, creating new educational, research and production technologies for effective, reliable and green energy based on Industry 4.0 technologies, including widespread usage of cyberphysical systems, the Internet of Things and the Industrial Internet of things (IioT). The Master's program provides training of highly qualified scientific and engineering personnel for IT enterprises and the electronics industry in accordance with professional standards.

Physics

The goal of the program is training qualified personnel for research and development in quantum electronics. Optimally combined fundamental knowledge of electronics, laser optics, computer technology and the ability to use it in practice for the creation and operation of new modern laser-computer systems being used in the most dynamically developing fields of science and technology gives advantage to the graduates. This area of expertise is logical development of the traditional electronics branches, such as vacuum and plasma electronics, solid state and semiconductor electronics, microwave electronics. The 21st century tends to be the "century of light" in contrast to the 20th century - the "electron century".

Industrial electronics

The aim of the program is training of qualified specialists for the electronic industry and related areas, including nanoelectronics. The program is based on modern scientific and technical technologies and became the basis of technological progress,having been characterized with high demand on the labor market as well. Graduates can carry out professional activities in industry, production and operation of electronic and electrical equipment; in the design field, development and operation of electronic devices, microprocessor devices and automation. During the study the basic electronic and electrical materials are considered; and also electronic equipment components and devices; research methods; design and construction; technological and measuring equipment; mathematical models; algorithms for typical cases solving; modern software for modeling processes and information support of electronics and nanoelectronics products.

Lighting engineering

The program’s aim is training of qualified management personnel for design of lighting installations. Masters use computer technology and mathematical modeling in various lighting design technologies; testing organization; measurements and certification of lighting products; scientific research and development of innovative lighting and irradiation systems (including LED), radiation sources. Wide field of training in this educational program allows our graduates to occupy key positions in organizations of various fields of science and technology (design divisions, certification facilities and testing laboratories, design bureaus and lighting design studios, research institutes; organizations that develop, install and give service to theater, television, sports and outdoor lighting). Our graduates can work in IT sphere, medicine, transport, agriculture, develop and maintain complex lighting and irradiation equipment, non-visual installations and lighting control systems as well.

Department of Physics and Technology of Electrical Materials and Components (PTEMC)

Training of highly qualified personnel for research and development of electronic engineering materials, nanoelectronics, quantum electronics, semiconductor devices and integrated circuits. The training program allows graduates of the department to work in research organizations, design bureaus, enterprises of electronic and electrical industry, successfully develop new materials and products, as well as technological processes of their manufacture.

Dept. of Electric Supply of Industrial Enterprises and Electrotechnologies

The program is aimed to provide quality training of highly qualified specialists for technical and information support of the design and operation of power sources, networks and electric facilities of consumers.
